Cornel Onyekachi Iloba, better known as Nirati Dagwi, music is a self-taught mission of honesty and precision. His moniker, which translates to "Beauty of God," serves as the guiding light for a career built from the ground up. Born in Abuja and raised between Jos and Ghana, Iloba’s sound is a tapestry of his travels, eventually finding its home in the high-stakes energy of Lagos. His entry into music was unconventional; while pursuing a degree in Information Technology, he spent his time teaching himself the complexities of production. Since 2016, this "DIY" ethos has remained his core—every Nirati Dagwi track is a solo endeavor, fully produced, mixed, and mastered by the artist himself.
Since returning to Lagos in late 2017, he has focused on creating a sound that is both "untamed and authentic." This dedication reached a fever pitch between 2025 and early 2026, a period marked by a prolific run of independent hits. Standout singles like "Hotboxing," "Pay Me," and the January 2026 release "ABI" showcase his ability to marry technical IT expertise with the soulful, gritty rhythms of his environment. Whether collaborating on tracks like "24 Karats" or dropping solo projects, Nirati continues to prove that his fearless approach to self-production is exactly what sets him apart in the evolving landscape of African music.
